Many passionate people feel it is not and no kill animal shelters are being established all across the country to help eliminate this means for pet population control. In no kill shelters, animals are cared for and put up for adoption instead of being euthanized. At the most humane no kill shelters, euthanizing is only performed in situations where an animal is too sick or too aggressive.
